Lorraine Hall, Director of Human Resources and Support Services
Lorraine is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, having completed a degree in Human Resources Management and holding more than 10 years of senior and executive level HR posts in the private and public sector.
Lorraine is the longest standing HRD in Scotland and one of the longest standing NHS Shetland Board Members. Lorraine is qualified in OPP Psychometric testing, and a Paralegal in Employment Law.
Lorraine is responsible for the provision of services that cover Personnel, Occupational Health, Staff Development, Leadership and Organisational Development, Health, Safety and Wellbeing, E-health, IT and Information. Lorraine is Executive Lead for partnership working, Area Partnership Forum, Staff Governance Committee and the Remuneration Committee. Lorraine chairs the Health and Safety Committee, the Wellbeing Group and e-ISG along with her own team’s professional groups.
Lorraine has a wide portfolio at both a regional and national level, and is the lead HRD for the North Region supporting the North Chief Executives and North of Scotland Planning Group. Lorraine is a member of the National HRD Community, Scottish Partnership Forum, MSG, Scottish Rural Medical Collaborative and has a strand of work supporting the Scottish Pay Review body.
